Amelia Kerr was born on 13th October 2000 in Wellington, New Zealand. She started playing cricket at a young age and was soon recognized as a talented player.

Kerr made her debut for the New Zealand Women's cricket team in June 2016, at the age of 15, against Pakistan.

In June 2018, Amelia Kerr made headlines by scoring an unbeaten 232 runs in an ODI against Ireland, becoming the youngest cricketer, male or female, to score a double century in international cricket.

Kerr is known for her all-round abilities as a cricketer. She is a right-handed batter and a leg-spin bowler, making her a valuable asset for any team.

In 2018, Kerr was named New Zealand's Women's Player of the Year, and she was also named ICC Women's Emerging Player of the Year.

Kerr played a crucial role in New Zealand's campaign in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020. She scored 33 runs and took three wickets in the semi-final against India, but unfortunately, New Zealand lost the match.

In 2023, Amelia Kerr became the first New Zealand woman cricketer to be signed by an Women's Premier League (WPL) franchise. She was signed by the Mumbai Indians for the 2023 season.
