Virat Kohli stepped down as Test captain after he was put under pressure by BCCI president Sourav Ganguly. A cold war was on between Kohli and Ganguly and eventually Kohli was asked to quit as ODI captain. He had already quit as T20I captain. But Kohli said he did not want to continue as Test captain as well and resigned from the post in January, which became a big talking point among fans.
The term Bazball came about when England started playing Test cricket under captaincy of Ben Stokes and new coach Brendon McCullum. The term 'Bazball' was coined because McCullum's nickname is Baz and England started played his brand of aggressive cricket. England trended the term with win vs India and then South Africa before they smashed Pakistan in Pakistan to make history.
