Pressure got to Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant when he saw that a no-ball for height was not called by the on-field umpire during a tense chase, nor was it sent upstairs for the third umpire to check. Pant felt cheated and he was so angry that he asked his two batters to come back to the dressing room and discontinue the match. DC assistant coach Shane Watson tried to calm Pant down but he was not ready to listen. Pant then asked one of the coaches Parvin Amre to go to the umpires and discuss the matter but he was quickly sent back by the officials. That was one big controversy in IPL 2022. Deepti Sharma used her brain to run out England batter Charlotte Dean at the non-striker's end in the third and last ODI to give a fitting tribute to Jhulan Goswami who was playing her last international match. This was the tenth wicket to fall and India clean sweeped the English on their home soil 3-0. The England camp did not like the mode of the dismissal, calling it something against the spirit of the game even afetr MCC, the lawmaker, has removed such tag from the rulebook. The Tim Paine Sexting Scandal took place in November 2021 after which the former Aussie captain had to resign from the job. However, Paine came out with a book 'The Price Paid' in 2022 and revealed how Cricket Australia (CA) had abandoned him post the episode. That was one big shocker. Sri Lankan cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka was arrested by the police in Australia after it was revealed that a woman had charged him with sexual assault case.
