Sushil Kumar to Michael Phelps: Five Olympic champions who ended up on wrong side of law

Weeks after launching an operation to nab absconding two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, the Delhi Police on Sunday finally pinned the wrestler for his alleged role in the murder of Sagar Rana. The 23-year-old wrestler lost his life in a deadly brawl outside New Delhi's Chhatrasal Stadium, which as per reports took place due to a property dispute.

However, this isn't the first instance when sports icons have found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Here is a list of top five Olympic champions, who have faced the wrath of law in the past:

One of India's most decorated wrestler and two-time Olympic champion Sushil Kumar is currently under six days of police custody for his alleged involvement in the murder of 23-year-old Sagar Rana, who also was a member of the same discipline.
