All the 10 teams of the IPL came up with their final retention list of players for the upcoming IPL 2025. 

Players got to earn a lot of money from their respective franchises.

Out of all the players, Heinrich Klaasen came out as the most expensive one who was retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for Rs 23 crores.

On Thursday, Sunrisers Hyderabad retained the South African star for a whopping Rs 23 crore.

The wicketkeeper batter surpassed Virat Kohli who was retained by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 17 crore back in 2017.

Klaasen played a crucial role in SRH’s journey to the finals in the 2024 season of the IPL.

The right-hand batter collected 479 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 171.07.

After Klaasen, it was Virat Kohli and Nicholas Pooran who got Rs 21 crore each from Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants respectively.
