The wicketkeeper batter surpassed Virat Kohli who was retained by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 17 crore back in 2017.
Klaasen played a crucial role in SRH’s journey to the finals in the 2024 season of the IPL.
The right-hand batter collected 479 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 171.07.
After Klaasen, it was Virat Kohli and Nicholas Pooran who got Rs 21 crore each from Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants respectively.
