India's men's cricket team had a terrific 2023 as far as ODIs are concerned. They may not have won the ODI World Cup 2023. But the ruled this format. They were the best team in ODIs by some distance. Team India bowlers, in 2023, picked 289 wickets in just 35 ODIs at an average of 23.34 and economy rate of 5.1. There were eight five-fors that were taken too. India became the team with second highest number of ODI wins in a calender year. They played 35 matches and won 27, while losing 7 and one ending in No Result. Shubman Gill scored the most runs in ODIs in 2023 followed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Shubman scored 1584 runs at a staggering average of 63.36 and with strike rate of 105.45. Kohli finished with 1377 runs and Rohit with 1255 runs. (Image: ANI)
