Jalandhar: Punjab's oldest district Jalandhar saw a tricornered fight in the Punjab assembly elections 2017.
The city of Jalandhar is divided into four constituencies namely Jalandhar (Cantonment), Jalandhar (Central), Jalandhar (North), Jalandhar West (SC).
Baring the city, there are four more constituencies making a total of eight seats across the Jalandhar district. These constituencies are Nakodar, Shahkot, Kartarpur (SC) and Adampur (SC).
Overall in the state, a high voter turnout record of 77.37 per cent when voting was held on February 4.

The candidate representing SAD-BJP from Jalandhar (Cantonment) is Sarabjit Singh Makkar, while Harkrishan Singh Walia and Pargat Singh stand for AAP and INC respectively.

From Jalandhar (Central) Manoranjan Kalia is Contesting for SAD-BJP. AAP and INC have faith in Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sharma and Rajinder Berri respectively.

KD Bhandari, Gulshan Sharma and Avtar Singh Sanghera are contesting on behalf of SAD-BJP, AAP and INC respectively from Jalandhar (North).
Mohinder Bhagat is representing BJP from Jalandhar West (SC) while Darshan Lal Bhagat and Sushil Kumar Rinku have contested from AAP and INC respectively.
