Ludhiana district forms Malwa region's 69 seats out of the total of 117 in the Punjab assembly. The industrialists and migrant workers account for nearly 33 percent of total voters which is around 24 lakh.
Overall in the state, a high voter turnout record of 77.37 percent when voting was held on February 4. Punjab Assembly Election results 2017 will be declared on February 11; counting will begin at 8 am.
