Ludhiana assembly election result 2017: Congress, Lok Insaf party emerge victorious

Ludhiana: Counting for Ludhiana seat is underway. Here are all the LIVE updates:-

- Ludhiana North: Parveen Bansal leads from BJP.

Ludhiana district forms Malwa region's 69 seats out of the total of 117 in the Punjab assembly. The industrialists and migrant workers account for nearly 33 percent of total voters which is around 24 lakh.

Overall in the state, a high voter turnout record of 77.37 percent when voting was held on February 4. Punjab Assembly Election results 2017 will be declared on February 11; counting will begin at 8 am.

Ludhiana North

Barring the city, there are nine more constituencies making the total number 14 across Ludhiana district.

The district has witnessed re-polling in around 48 polling stations.

Ludhiana East

The candidate representing SAD from Ludhiana (East) is Ranjit Singh Dhillon, while Daljit Singh Grewal (Bhola) and Sanjeev Talwar stand for AAP and INC respectively.

Ludhiana South

From Ludhiana (South) Hira Singh Gabria is Contesting for SAD. BSP and INC have faith in Charan Singh and Bhupinder Singh Sidhu respectively.

Ludhiana Central

Gurdev Sharma Debi, Akhlesh Singh and Surinder Kumar Dawar are contesting on behalf of BJP, BSP and INC respectively from Ludhiana (Central).

Ludhiana West

Kamal Chatly is representing BJP from Ludhiana (West) while Ahbaab Singh Grewal and Bharat Bhushan (Ashu) are have contested from AAP and INC respectively.

Ludhiana North

From Ludhiana (North) Parveen Bansal is representing BJP. While Rakesh Pandey is on behalf of INC and Rajinder Kumar on behalf of BSP.
