Dowry of Rs one crore 51 thousand given in Rajasthan village, bundle of notes flashed in public as proof - Watch viral video

Kotputli is a city and a municipality in Jaipur district in Rajasthan. 

Jaipur: A video has gone viral on social media in which it is being claimed that a dowry of Rupees one crore and 51 thousand was given in a Rajasthan village.

The video is reported to be from Rampura village in Kotputli. (Kotputli is a city and a municipality in Jaipur district.)

In the video, bundles of one lakh Rupees each is being counted.

As per reports, the money was given as part of a tradition practiced in Rajasthan's Gujjar community.

Villagers claim that the dowry was given on April 05.

However, it is confirmed as to whether the money was given as part of dowry for one girl or six girls. 

On the other hand, the SDM of Kotputli has denied any such incident in his area.
