Jaipur: Three labourers have died in a blast at a granite mine in Jalore district of Rajasthan, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred when the labourers cut the fuse wire with a piece of stone instead of scissors, which triggered blast in explosives, SHO Bagra Premaram told PTI.


The deceased were identified as Ramesh Kumar Koli (40) and Jaisaram Koli (32), both hailing from Sirohi district, and Mahendra Meena (20) of Udaipur.


The SHO said that the bodies were handed over the family members following post-mortem and a case under IPC section 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) was registered against the owner of the mine.
