New Delhi: Bollywood singer-composer Ankit Tiwari is all set to tie the knot this month. Known for giving some famous chartbusters 'Sunn Raha Hai', 'Galliyan', 'Tu Hai Ki Nahi', Ankit met his fiance Pallavi Shukla on the recommendation of his grandmother.
A Mumbai Mirror report said that the duo will exchange rings on February 20 followed by wedding ceremonies. The wedding will take place in a north Indian style in Kanpur. After the wedding, Ankit will return to Mumbai and will organise a reception in the city by the end of the month.
The report said that the singer's grandmother met the girl during a train journey and was so impressed by her that she decided to recommend her for her grandson.
"Once dadi announced that Pallavi would be the family’s daughter-in-law, everyone agreed. I’m happy that the family is happy and a little nervous too. She is a very sweet and simple girl. During our first meeting, there were 10 others seated between us," Ankit said while speaking to the tabloid.
The singer revealed that the girl is a mechanical engineer by profession and is based out of Bengaluru for the past 10 years. After marriage, she will shift to Mumbai.
Ankit, who was arrested in 2014 for allegedly raping a 28-year-old woman and was acquitted in 2017, told the tabloid that the girl is aware of his past.
On the work front, he recently composed music for Sidharth Malhotra-Manoj Bajpayee-starrer 'Aiyaary' which hit the theatres on February 16.
