New Delhi: Will October 15, 2017 mark the beginning of the end of the world? Conspiracy theorists seem to think so.
The world seems to have survived many 'predicted' doomsdays, with conspiracy theories having suggested various dates within this year itself.
Internet conspirators are having a field day predicting the end of the world, which they believe is near and will begin on October 15 – a week from now.
They say we are in for a horrific "seven year tribulation", before Earth is eventually destroyed. Doomsday theorist Dave Meade believes that 'Planet X' or Nibiru will trigger the chaos.
Conspiracies had earlier suggested it was hurtling towards earth and would obliterate it on September 23 – but obviously, that didn't happen.
Let us remind you that another such prediction of a possible doomsday in December 2017 caused by Nibiru had surfaced in December 2016 as well.
Now, however, Meade expects Nibiru to pass Earth, accompanied by a number of natural disasters, including volcanic eruptions.
According to the Mirror, he says the earthquake in Mexico, the floods in Texas and the hurricanes in the Caribbean and Florida are all related to the Planet X theory.
The "tribulation" will also involve "nuclear exchanges between the US, Britain and our enemies – Russia, China, Iran and North Korea."
He said: "It’s the beginning. Ever since the Great American Solar Eclipse of August 21 we have been hit by a continued series of judgements."
The date of September 23 relates to a verse in the Bible which apparently matches the August 21 date when Hurricane Harvey battered Texas.
And he says there's proof in the bible. Luke’s passage 21: 25 to 26 reads: “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars.
“On the Earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
"People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.”
They further claimed that the ‘Rapture’ set out in the Book of Revelation, will see 'worthy' Christians lifted into heaven by Jesus, while those remaining will be left to face the end of the world.
Meade claims an asteroid named Wormwood, which is at least three kilometers in diameters and attached to the "debris field of the Planet X star system" will hit earth at some point during the seven years, the report in the Mirror said.
He says the "seven year tribulation" will also involve "nuclear exchanges between the US, Britain and our enemies – Russia, China, Iran and North Korea."
"It will involve cataclysmic climate events related to Planet X or Wormwood – those are the trumpet judgements of Revelation," he warned.
Huge solar flares would "bring down the electrical grid. Rioting and looting will be unrestrained.... society will be in chaos."
American space agency NASA, however, maintains its stance that the theory is an "Internet hoax".
