Mumbai: Navaratri meaning nine nights are celebrated twice a year – once right after the Spring season (Chaitra) and the other just ahead of autumn (Sharad). Dedicated to Shakti or the feminine power (Goddess Durga), Navaratri is one of the most auspicious festivals in the Hindu calendar.
Chaitra Navaratri coincides with the months of March-April in the Gregorian calendar. This year, Chaitra Navaratri began on March 28 and will culminate with Rama Navami on April 5.

March 28th – Amavasya – Ghatasthapana and Shailputri Puja
March 29th – Dwitiya - Chandra Darshan and Brahmacharini Puja
March 30th - Tritiya – Gauri Teej and Chandraghanta Puja
March 31st – Chaturthi – Kushmanda Puja
April 1st – Panchami – Skandamata Puja
April 2nd – Shashti – Katyayani Puja
April 3rd – Saptami – Kalratri Puja
April 4th – Ashtami – Maha Gauri Puja
April 5th – Navami – Ram Navami
