Armaan Jaffer, Sarfaraz Khan very talented; budding cricketers have to fight challenges, says Rahul Dravid
Dravid advised the lads to keep themselves ready for the upcoming challenges.
New Delhi: Though India colts failed to lift the ICC U-19 World Cup trophy after losing to the West Indies in the final, coach Rahul Dravid praised the youngsters and wants them to work harder to achieve their ultimate goal.
Dravid, especially took the name of Armaan Zafar and Sarfaraz Khan and tagged them as extremely talented.
“There is a lot of talent. Just like everyone else, Armaan and Sarfaraz are extremely talented boys. They’ve got as much a chance as anyone in the 15 to go on to represent the country. Like everyone in the team, they conducted themselves really well both on and off the field,” Dravid was quoted as saying by Mid-day.
'The wall', at the same time, advised the lads to keep themselves ready for the upcoming challenges.
“The real challenge starts now as they have to go and play first-class cricket. They are going to face quite a few ups and downs. There is talent and hopefully they’ve had a great experience with opportunities to learn and grow as cricketers. From now on, the challenges are going to get more difficult and exciting as well,” added Dravid.
In the recently concluded U-19 World Cup the 18-year-old hard-hitter Sarfaraz created a new record in the history of the tournament, when he slammed his seventh half-century in the final.
