New Delhi: After Glenn McGrath, another bowling legend – Waqar Younis – has now praised Jasprit Bumrah for his ability to bowl yorkers.
The Pakistan pacer was himself one of the finest proponents of yorker-length bowling during his career.
Speaking to the Times of India, the Pakistan coach said Bumrah looked quite promising among the new pacers.
“Among the latest bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah looks quite promising for India. What has impressed me about him is his ability to bowl yorkers,” he told TOI.
The Gujarat bowler was exceptional in the Asia Cup, picking up six wickets in the tournament.
More importantly, he bowled economically as batsmen found it hard to get runs off him.
