Conflict of interest: BCCI media manager Nishant Arora under scanner

New Delhi: Yet another case of conflict of interest has come to light and this time it's related to Team India's media manager Nishant Arora, who is presently in Australia with the Indian team, according to a media report.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ombudsman, Justice AP Shah, has written to president Shashank Manohar and Ratnakar Shetty, game development manager, asking them for a response on a complaint filed by Niraj Gunde against Arora, as per the report published in The Indian Express.

The ‘application’ filed by Gunde on January 18 to Shah, calls Arora to have been an agent of cricketers, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh, while also claiming that his wife is a director of a company, Final Score Management Pvt Ltd, indulging in commercial relations with the BCCI.

As per the newspaper, Shah has asked BCCI officials to respond within two weeks, which is by February 2.

Gunde’s complaint application is dated January 18.

In fact, the Ombudsman has forwarded another complaint filed by Gunde, which is against former India opener Vikram Rathour, who is on the senior selection panel, alleging that he was an UK citizen. The complainant has also attached a passport copy of Rathour.
