New Delhi: Dangerous Australian opener David Warner is likely to miss majority of the matches of the upcoming India series.

According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, the 29-year-old will be on a paternity leave for the birth of his second child with wife Candice.

The report added that Warner will fly to Perth on Friday ahead of the series opener against India at the WACA on January 12.

He is expected to play the first match and also the second match, in Brisbane on the 15th, before taking the leave.

Continuing his superb form this season, Warner scored an unbeaten 122 off just 103 balls against the West Indies in the third the Frank Worrell Trophy at Sydney Cricket Ground.
