Twenty20: Can left-handers Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra prove right for MS Dhoni?

New Delhi: After a humiliating 1-4 defeat at the hands of Australia in the 50-over series, MS Dhoni & Co would look to take the avenge in the three-match T20 series, starting January 26 at Adelaide.

For the T20 series Down Under, national Indian selectors have shown faith in veterans like Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Ashish Nehra.

Interestingly, three of them are southpaws and are capable of turning the tables single-handedly.

Yuvraj Singh, who is known to be a big match-player, has proved his all-round abilities many a times in the past. And he still has the potential to keep his reputation of a match-winner intact against the Aussies.

Suresh Raina, another utility player, has the quality to hit big shots from the word go. He can bowl few tight overs as well. On top it, his electric fielding can lift the morale of the team. Match-winning performance in the summit clash of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will give him the much-needed confidence.

Ashish Nehra on the other hand is making a comeback in the team after a gap of almost five years. But he has shown that even at 36, he has the ability to give world-class batsmen a run for their money. In the last couple of seasons of Indian Premier League (IPL), he has hinted that he still has a lot of cricket left in him.

If these three hit the ground running Down Under, they could make life difficult for the Aussies.
