Chetan Chauhan slams Arvind Kejriwal's 'sex seeking' allegations against DDCA official, asks for proof

New Delhi: Reacting to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's shocking claims where he accused a DDCA official of asking for sexual favours in order to select a junior cricketer, vice-president of the association Chetan Chauhan slammed the allegations saying there was no proof behind it.

Speaking at a conference, Chauhan termed Kejriwal's allegations as baseless.

"There was a serious issue which was raised yesterday and was today in some news papers. You can't shoot arrows in air. Anybody can claim that. It's a wild allegation. If there is anythjhing like that, we don't have any such information. If he doesn't want to reveal the name, I understand the sensitivity of the issue. Whoever he trusts in DDCA, he can come and tell him about it. We will enquire the matter, and action will be taken against the guilty," he said.

In an interview to NDTV, Kejriwal made grave allegations saying the mother is the wife of a senior journalist, whose son was in contention for one of Delhi’s junior teams.

“A very senior journalist called me on the phone who is a very good friend of yours,” Kejriwal said. “His son plays cricket. He told me that he got a call that his son was selected. In the evening, when the list came, his name was not there. Can you believe that the next day, the journalist’s wife got an SMS that you come to my (official’s) place at night, your son’s selection will be done.”

Talking about the issue of cricketers being asked for bribe for selection, Chauhan added, "Another issue has been raised that players have been asked for bribe for selection. Who has taken money, when did he take it? We should be told about it clearly. People can't just come up with allegations."

Earlier, Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) along with cricketer-turned politician Kirti Azad had raised issues of serious financial irregularities in DDCA.
