Before RCB's IPL game against RPS in Pune, the 27-year-old visited Abhalmaya - old-age home in the city.

Soon after Virat's visit, several posts on social media networks claimed that the stylish right-hander had pledged to donate half his IPL earnings to the facility.

This however is not true. But Virat did donate 50% of his earnings from one match to Dr Aparna Deshmukh's old-age home according to a report on Sportskeeda.

He also promised that Virat Kohli Foundation would fund the entire facility till the end of 2016.

On Friday, India's Test skipper also hosted a charity dinner in association with Smile Foundation to raise funds for empowerment of underprivileged children.

Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna curated a five course dinner for all the high-profile guests.

It is wonderful to see Virat spend time, effort and financial resources to help improve the lives of several people.
