New Delhi: England pace bowler Steven Finn is likely to miss the fourth and final Test against South Africa due to an injury.
The 26-year-old bowler felt some stiffness in his left side in England's series-clinching victory at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Saturday.
According to report in the BBC, the Middlesex paceman was sent for scans on Sunday morning, with the results due on Monday.
Coach Trevor Bayliss stated that he doubts whether Finn will participate in the fourth Test match and once the scans come out that will decide whether he will take part in the ODI series and T20s.
"I doubt very much whether he'll be available for the next Test. We'll have to wait and see how bad it is and make a decision on the one-day and Twenty20 series,” said Bayliss.
The bowlers lined up to replace Finn will be between Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan and Mark Footitt.
Finn took 11 wickets at an average of 26.09 in the first three Tests and was looking quick and dangerous. His injury serves a blow for England who are eyeing a 3-0 series win heading into Centurion.
England beat the Proteas by seven wickets on Saturday in the third Test. They lead the series 2-0.
