New Delhi: Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday said that everyone wanted India-Pakistan cricket ties to resume, as the much-anticipated bilateral series still hangs in balance.
"Obviously, everyone wants India-Pakistan series to resume as the matches between two nation has always been exciting,” the 43-year-old told PTI.
However, at the same time, Ganguly also made it clear that everything is not in the hands of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
“...we too support the series to take place but certainly everything is not in the hand of the board," he added.
Ganguly also expressed hope that Indian government would take a call in this regard.
However, few days back BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur had virtually ruled out the much-awaited cricket series between arch-rivals.
Thakur stated that it will be "impossible for PCB" to arrange the proposed bilateral series in such a short time.
