Gujarat Lions mystery spinner Shivil Kaushik to play for English club Hull CCC
Shivil is expected to leave for his English stint within a week.
New Delhi: If media reports are to be believed, then Shivil Kaushik is all set to play in the Yorkshire Premier League as the mystery spinner has signed a contract with English club, Hull CCC.
It means, the unorthodox chinaman, who represented new franchise Gujarat Lions in the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), would gain some international exposure this season.
According to a report in Sportskeeda, Shivil will be leaving for his English stint within a week.
“Shivil will be with us shortly. We are very much looking forward to having him join us for the rest of the season. We’ve obviously seen him in the IPL and we’re sure he’ll be a great success over here in the Yorkshire Premier League.
“We won our first 4 games in the League but we have slipped up in recent weeks. With the addition of Shivil, we’re hoping to get back to winning ways,” The English club told Sportskeeda.
In last 15 years, five Indian cricketers have represented Hull CCC, which also includes promising U-19 star Sarfaraz Khan, who represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the recently concluded IPL season.
