HILARIOUS! When Harbhajan Singh trolled his own teammates after humiliating defeat

New Delhi: Harbhajan Singh is considered one of the most colorful characters in the Indian cricket team.

Bhajji has a wicked sense of humor and is always up to something on the field and dressing room.

Former and current teammates of the veteran spinner love sharing several anecdotes about him during interviews and television shows.

The Punjab cricketer's former spin partner Murali Kartik shed light on yet another hilarious Bhajji moment during the ‘What the Duck’ chat show with Vikram Sathaye.

The left-arm spinner narrated an incident that took place in 2005 when India toured Zimbabwe for a tri-nation ODI series against New Zealand and the hosts.

After a splendid effort by Indian bowlers, the Kiwis were gunned down for 215. What appeared to be a relatively easy run chase turned into an event of embarrassment as the Men in Blue were reduced to 44/8.

Thanks to the efforts of tailenders Jai P Yadav and Irfan Pathan, the Indians managed to post 164.

As players sat with stoic expressions in the dressing room, Bhajji attempted to ease the mood by trolling them.

"We lost the match badly and were sitting with sad faces. Suddenly, Bhajji gets up and starts telling everyone to remove their bats and start counting them. We removed our bats. We had 110 bats amongst the 15 of us. And then Bhajji said, ‘Itne toh humne run nahi banaye jitney balle hai’ (we haven’t even scored these many runs),” revealed Kartik.

There was spontaneous laughter in the dressing room as soon as Harbhajan completed his sentence.

While Bhajji's comic timing did not inspire the Indians to a famous series win, the team performed well to reach the finals.
