The veteran cricketer admitted that he was "pleasantly surprised" after being called back into Australia's T20I side for the on-going mega event.

But he also made it clear that retirement is at the back of his mind.

"There's no doubt I'll have a bit of time to think about it (international retirement) after the T20 World Cup. I'll reassess from there," Watson told cricket.com.au on Wednesday.

Watson also feels that Australia have a good chance to win their maiden World T20 trophy this time around as they have a talented squad.

"We've got a bit of improvement to go and more consistency in how we're playing to give ourselves that chance, but we've got the talented squad here to be able to give ourselves the best chance,” added Watson.

It would be a golden opportunity for the 34-year-old as well to end his international career with the ICC World T20 trophy.

"There's no doubt to win the T20 World Cup, we came very close in 2010 making the final, so that certainly would be an incredible thing to be a part of. At the moment I'm loving the opportunity of being back in the Australian squad and hopefully we can win the T20 World Cup.”
