While Indian pacers inducing fear in opposition camps is quite rare, the Indore lad has certainly managed to do so at the junior cricket level.

Avesh is the most experienced bowler in India's U-19 team and likes to lead from the front.

In India's World Cup opener in Bangladesh, the right-armer picked up two Ireland wickets in his 10 overs, conceding just 24 runs.

Avesh says, he not only wants to bowl fast but also hit the right lengths on a consistent basis.

Here are five interesting facts about the 19-year-old who is being touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket.

1) Avesh made his Ranji debut for Madhya Pradesh in 2014/15. The youngster couldn’t play the trophy this year as it was coinciding with the U-19 World Cup preparations.

2) In five first-class matches, the pacer has taken 15 wickets at an average of 3.50 and a strike rate of 27.45.

3) Against Bangladesh U-19 at the Jadavpur University’s Salt Lake Campus last year, Avesh bowled six overs for four runs, taking four wickets.

4) Former India opener Amay Khurasiya is his childhood coach and advised the youngster to keep bowling fast from the very beginning.

5) At the Under-19 World Cup in 2014, Avesh clocked 139.8kph on the speed gun. He was only 17 at the time.
