Anurag Thakur, Graeme Smith slam Jimmy Anderson for taking a swipe at Virat Kohli
Targeting Anderson, Smith asked on Twitter, `Is Jimmy Anderson saying he can only bowl in English conditions?`
New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin wasn't the only one slamming Jimmy Anderson for his 'technical flaws' jibe at Virat Kohli as BCCI president Anurag Thakur and South African great Graeme Smith have also come out criticizing the England's seamer's comments.
In the press conference post 4th day of Mumbai Test, Anderson had said, “I just think any technical deficiencies he’s got aren’t in play out here. The wickets just take that out of the equation.”
“We had success against him in England, but the pace of the pitches over here just take any flaws he has out of the equation. There’s not that pace in the wicket to get the nicks, like we did against him in England with a bit more movement. Pitches like this suit him down to the ground,” the veteran pacer had commented.

Thakur first congratulated India on the achievement, “I would like to congratulate Virat Kohli and Team India for their brilliant performance. They have showed that they are truly the number one team in the world. The way Jayant Yadav has performed needs to be praised,” he told ANI.
He later slammed Anderson citing the famous Hindi proverb, “Khisiyaani billi khamba nochey (express anger after being left embarrassed).”
Former Proteas batsman, Graeme Smith also took a dig at Anderson on Twitter saying, "Is Jimmy Anderson saying he can only bowl in English conditions?"
With just the Chennai Test left in this calendar year, Kohli has had a splendid 2016 and has bagged plenty of runs in all formats across globe. He famously scored three double tons this year – most for an Indian skipper including his career of 235 runs in Mumbai.
