New Delhi: Indian wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel has replaced Wriddhiman Saha for the third Test against England to be played at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
BCCI medical team has confirmed that Saha suffered a strain in his left thigh during the second Test at Visakhapatanam, which India won by 246 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series against England.
As a precautionary measure, Saha has been advised rest and will not play the third Test to avoid aggravating his injury.

Parthiv last played a Test match in 2008.
The third Test will be played at Mohali from November 24. He has represented India in 20 Tests and 38 ODIs. The 31-year-old has been in good form in the current Ranji season, where he has hit three half centuries and one century in last six innings for Gujarat.
India currently lead the five match series 1-0 after a comprehensive 246-run win against Alastair Cook and his men at Vizag.
