The match is off in Mumbai's Wankhade Stadium and Jonny Bairstow is the first victim of the day. The magician Ravichandran Ashwin got him out LBW as England tried to escape using a review but 3rd umpire found on-field umpire's call spot on.

With yet another dominant performance in home Test series, India look to seal series triumph in the ongoing 5-match series with a game to spare.


Alastair Cook and his men still need 49 runs to make Virat Kohli and Co. bat again but with 6 wickets already gone, it is going to be a tough task handling in-form Indian bowlers on a tricky 5th day wicket.


Day 4 Recap:


Indian skipper Virat Kohli's witnessed another record-breaking day, securing his personal best of 235 in the traditional format of the game, while Jayant Yadav registered his name in the Indian cricket books as an all-rounder with a maiden hundred. Ravichandran Ashwin had dismissed Jake ball in the final over of the day and will be looking to restart India's proceedings with the ball on a bright note once again today.


Match Stats:


India's 631 is their highest total against England in Tests in India and their second highest vs England next only to the 664 at The Oval in August 2007. India's previous highest total against England at Wankhede Stadium was 591 in February 1933.


Kohli has posted four innings of 150-plus as Captain in Tests this year to become the third batsman to accomplish the feat - the first two being Michael Clarke (2012) and Brendon McCullum (2014).


Kohli became the third batsman to post a double hundred in three consecutive Test series - vs West Indies, vs New Zealand and vs England - all in 2016 - the first two being Don Bradman in 1930-31 - vs England, West Indies & South Africa and Rahul Dravid in 2003-04 - vs New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan.


Kohli is averaging 65.50 as captain while scoring 2096 runs in 21 Tests - the second highest average among the captains with at least 2000 runs in Tests next only to the 101.51 by Sir Donald Bradman - 3147 runs in 24 Tests.
