New Delhi: British journalist Piers Morgan saw Indian captain Virat Kohli thrash Alastair Cook and Co. at Vizag after the hosts escaped with a draw in first Test at Rajkot.
As soon as Kohli completed his 14th century in the longer format of the game, Morgan tweeted:-
My 2 favourite Indian batsmen were @sachin_rt & @VVSLaxman281.
This guy is right up there with them: @imVkohli.
Just sublime. #INDvENG

As the tweet suggests, Morgan has been in awe of Indian greats Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman, and he did admit that Virat Kohli is now up there alongside these legends in his eyes.
Kohli's second ever Test century against England came on Day 1 of the second Test at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
Kohli's previous best against England was 103 at Nagpur in 2012. Since then, he hasn't been able to replicate the same charisma against English opponents, which made him a world renowned batsman and especially a modern great.
