New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday thanked India Test captain Virat Kohli for his part in making 'My Clean India’ initiative a success.

Kohli and the Indian team joined BCCI president Anurag Thakur in a clean-up drive at the historic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata during India-New Zealand second Test match.
Kohli, in reply, thanked Modi and said, “We all are trying to make a difference for the betterment of our country. Led in an inspirational way by you.”

India won the Eden Gardens Test by 178-runs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series and also claimed the number one spot in the ICC rankings.
The third and final match of the series starts today at Indore.
