New Delhi: As AB de Villiers fought a lone battle for South Africa, cricketers and fans from across the globe praised his patient approach in the 2nd innings of the final Test against India at Feroz Shah Kotla ground.
In a superb display of concentration and determination, the South African faced 297 balls and scored 43 runs before being dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin.
Former Indian cricketers VVS Laxman and Aakash Chopra were the first two to laud AB's patient approach.

AB de Viliers and skipper Hashim Amla frustrated Indian fans and the bowlers to the core with their incredible blocking approach on Day 4 of the final Test. While Amla's resistance was ended by Ravindra Jadeja in the first session on the final day, an unperturbed de Villiers continued the good work from Day 4.
