India vs South Africa: ICC charges India Team manager Vinod Phadke for inappropriate comments

New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) charged Team India manager Vinod Phadke for making "inappropriate comments" on Wednesday. The hearing will take place after today's second One Day International match of the ongoing India-South Africa series in Nagpur.

World governing body of the sport confirmed the charge in a tweet today:

Phadke was widely reported critising umpire Vineet Kulkarni's performance in the series. The Indian umpire recieved flaks for poor officiating during the Twenty20 International series, which India lost.

Kulkarni, again, became the centre of attention in the first ODI in Kanpur.

"I have not seen the captain's report, but I am going to mention him in my report. It is obvious to everybody that the umpiring has not been good," he was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.

After losing first T20 match in Dharmasala, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni expressed disappointment over poor standard of umpiring, but without naming the umpire.
