Ravichandran Ashwin was unaware of parents` whereabouts in Chennai while batting!

New Delhi: Ravichandran Ashwin wasn't aware whether his parents were safe in Chennai or not when he was batting during a crucial phase of play in the 4th Test.

While Ashwin was batting, his wife Prithi posted a tweet stating they hadn't heard from his parents for over 24 hours.

However, after an hour she confirmed that they were safe. One wonders what mindset the off-spinner was in when he went out to bat.

Importantly, Ashwin made sure personal issues didn't affect him on the pitch as he put on 98 runs with Rahane for the eighth wicket.
