Indian Premier League 2016, Match 6: Gujarat Lions vs Rising Pune Supergiants - As it happened...
Strong Gujarat Lions win easy to get their second victory in a row.
In a battle of newbies, a strong side under Suresh Raina registered a convincing win with 12 balls remaining in the match.
After winning the toss, Mahendra Singh Dhoni needed a good total against a batting line-up which has the likes of Brendon McCullum, Aaron Finch and Raina.
Rising Pune Supergiants' 163 was short by some 25 runs. But RPS were to blame themselves. After reaching 130+ in 15 overs, their innings were folded for a below-par total in a batting friendly Rajkot pitch.
Lions started their chase to a roaring start with Finch and McCullum toying with Supergiants bowling attack. And they eventually won the match without much fuss as Dwayne Bravo provided the finishing touch.
