New Delhi: SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) created history on Sunday by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the summit clash to win their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title.
As soon as the match got over, grand celebrations started for the Hyderabad franchise. And the man who took the center stage after the match was none other than Yuvraj Singh.
It has to be a special occasion for Yuvraj, who had never won the IPL title in last eight editions. Since the inception of the tournament, the southpaw has played for Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors, Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Immediately after singing the team song, when the all-rounder was called for a TV interview by the broadcasters, he dedicated the win to Ashish Nehra, who played a crucial role for Hyderabad this season, but was ruled out in tournament's second half due to injury.
Later, Yuvi went on to social media to specially dedicate the victory to Nehra and mentioned, “This one for you Nehra ji we miss you ! Congratulations @sunrisershyd stuck together all the way through.”
Nehra had undergone knee surgery at London after he felt pain on his leg during an IPL match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).
