Lodha committee verdict could seal Raman's fate as a sports administrator on Monday.

Lodha committee report: Former IPL COO Sundar Raman could be banned for life

New Delhi: The Supreme Court-appointed Lodha committee is scheduled to submit its final report, binding on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on January 4.

The three-member panel's report is expected to propose radical changes in a bid to clean up Indian cricket administration.

According Mid-Day, the Lodha committee report carries a scathing indictment of former Indian Premier League (IPL) COO Sundar Raman who could be banned for life from holding any post in a sporting body.

“Details of Raman’s involvement with the BCCI officials could set the cat among pigeons in the board,” sources told the Mumbai-based newspaper.

Before taking over as BCCI president, Shashank Manohar had called for Raman's ouster after serious charged were leveled against him in the Mudgal report.

Hence Raman will not be spared by the current BCCI regime if punitive action is recommended against him by the Lodha committee report.

Raman is now employed by Reliance Industries as its chief executive officer – sports, which means he could be present at next month's IPL auction as a member of the Mumbai Indians' think tank.

However, Lodha committee verdict could seal Raman's fate as a sports administrator on Monday.
