My mother did not like my handwriting, admits R Ashwin — VIDEO INSIDE

New Delhi: Indian spin ace Ravichandran Ashwin might be rewriting cricket records, but he has got one qualm, that of his poor handwriting.

In a video shared by the Indian cricket board on the eve the first Test between India and Australia in Pune, Ashwin admitted that he has a poor handwriting and it is one thing about him which his mother doesn't like.

The ICC Cricketer of the Year was seen signing autographs in the video along with team-mates Jayant Yadav and Ajinkya Rahane.

Ashwin has emerged as one of the greatest match-winners for India. Early this year, he became only the third Indian to win the prestigious Cricketer of the Year award after Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar.

And during the one-off Test against visiting Bangladesh, he became the quickest bowler to take 250 wickets, in 45 matches, bettering Dennis Lillee's (48) record.
