New Delhi: One of the positives about the multiple franchise-based T20 leagues is the fact that people from diverse cultures are brought together under one roof.
Several international cricketers have gone on record to state that tournaments like the IPL and BBL have helped them forge bonds of friendship with players from different nationalities.
One such instance of bonhomie was witnessed recently when Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad and Vijay Mallya's son Siddharth hung out in the Caribbean.
Shehzad represents the Barbados Tridents, owned by the Mallyas, in the Caribbean Premier League.
The duo bonded during Siddharth's recent visit to the tournament.
Sid also caught up with Royal Challengers Bangalore's Chris Gayle at the latter's Jamaica home.
