Pink ball set to make its debut in Test cricket

New Delhi: Cricket's oldest format, Test, is set for a new flavour as International Cricket Council (ICC) has given a green signal to play five-day matches between nations.

The maiden day-night Test is scheduled to start from November 27 in Adelaide Oval between Australia and New Zealand.

Apart from the timing, the colour of the ball has also gone through a drastic change. In day-night matches, pink ball will be used rather than the conventional red cherry.

In the historic event the pink Kookaburra ball will be used under lights.

Fans are the major reason behind the move, so that more spectators will be able to attend the match in the stadium and also watch on television sets.

It will be an all new experience for not only the cricketers but also for the games' fans.
