New Delhi: Rajat Paliwal and Yashpal Singh struck a century each Services reached 311 for 6 in their second innings on the third and penultimate day of their Ranji Trophy cricket match against Saurashtra here on Sunday.
Services, who conceded a 10-run first innings lead to the visiting team put up a strong show in their second essay with Paliwal and Yashpal doing most of the run scoring at the Palam A Ground.
Services now have an overall 301-run lead with four second innings wicket in hand.
Yashpal was still unbeaten on 115 which he made from 149 balls and with the help of 17 fours and a six. Paliwal, who made 121 in the first innings, was more sedate as he made his 103 from 189 balls and hit 14 boundaries.
The pair also shared a 187-run stand that steadied Services after the top order was dismissed by the 21st over.
Muzzaffaruddin Khalid was the other unbeaten Services batsman on one when the stumps were drawn for the day.
For Saurashtra, Saurya Sanandiya took three wickets for 54 runs while Jaydev Unadkat grabbed two wickets. Ravindra Jadeja could get a wicket for 39 runs from his 15 overs.
