New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli, who was in sublime form in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, created several records in the tournament's ninth edition.
The Delhi batsman not only became the first cricketer to score four tons in one season, but also surpassed Suresh Raina to become the highest run-scorer in the cash-rich tournament.
Kohli amassed 973 runs in IPL 2016 and almost single-handedly won the maiden trophy for his team.
One record, which many didn't know about, is that the 26-year-old also became the first cricketer to spend over 1,000 minutes at the crease in one IPL season.
Kohli also hit 36 sixes in the tournament – most by any batsman.
