New Delhi: Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma is considered as one of the most elegant batsmen in contemporary cricket. The big hitter of the cricket ball is a crucial cog in the Indian team as far as limited-overs cricket is concerned.
Rohit has a knack of playing big innings. In fact, the Mumbaikar is the only cricketer to score two ODI double hundreds in the history of the format.
His 264 against Sri Lanka at the historic venue of Eden Gardens stands as the highest individual score in the ODIs.
But recently, Rohit revealed that he spent a sleepless night ahead of that very special knock.
Rohit was making a comeback from serious finger injury in that match.
In an interview with Times of India, Rohit revealed, “I was so nervous about it in the night before the game that I was thinking about how I’d bat, what would be my game plan? Would the finger affect my performance or strokeplay? But, on the match day, I went with an open mind, without thinking that I was injured for the last three months.”
