New Delhi: Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has been an integral part of Indian cricket team for more than half a decade now.
To reach at the highest level, the Saurashtra all-rounder had put in a lot of hard yards like many other national cricketers.
However, according to Jagaran.com there was a time in his early life, when the southpaw contemplated quitting the game.
Jadeja comes from a modest family background as his father was watchman in a private security agency.
But when Jadeja just started making a name for himself in cricketing circles in 2005, he lost his mother in an accident. After the demise of his mother, Jadeja wanted to walk away from the game.
But his family and friends consoled him and advised him to continue playing the game. And in February 8, 2009, he made his international debut against Sri Lanka in an ODI game at Colombo.
Jadeja has played 16 Tests, 126 ODIs and 37 T20I for the country thus far.
He is now representing Gujarat Lions in the 9th edition of the Indian Premier League.
In fact, the cricketer has tied the nuptial knot on Sunday with Reeva Solanki in Rajkot.
