Former New Zealand cricketer Chris Martin, who played 71 Tests for his country, is widely regarded as the worst batsman ever.

While he picked 233 wickets from 71 matches, he is often the butt of all jokes in terms of scoring runs.

The 41-year-old scored just 123 runs from 104 innings, 12* being his highest against Bangladesh. While his batting average was 2.36, the Kiwi failed to open his account on 36 occasions.

Martin made his Test debut against South Africa at Bloemfontein in 2000 and ended his career against the same opponent in 2013 at Cape Town.

Since he hardly spent anytime at the wicket as a batsman, he was nicknamed 'Walking Wicket'.
