Visakhapatnam: The sale of tickets for the third T20 match between India and Sri-Lanka, to be played here on February 14, will begin on Thursday.
The tickets will be sold at 18 mee-seva centres for the match to be played at ACA-VDCA stadium on the outskirts of the city, a senior official of the district administration said today.
"A total of 12,000 tickets, including 5,900 tickets of Rs 600 denomination, 2,000 tickets of Rs 300, 2,600 tickets of Rs 1,000, 600 tickets of Rs 1,500, 600 tickets of Rs 2,000 and 300 tickets of Rs 3,000 would be sold in the mee-seva centres," Visakhapatnam Joint Collector J Nivas told reporters here.
"Each mee-seva center is allotted 300 tickets of Rs 600 denomination and 100 tickets of Rs 300 denomination. To ensure transparency in sale of tickets in the mee-seva centers, the revenue officials will issue tokens to the first 400 people in the queue before mee-seva centers from 8 AM tomorrow and the token holders could purchase the tickets of either of the denominations (Rs 600 or Rs 300) and each person can buy only (one) ticket," he added.
He said of these centers, those at China Gantyada, Suryabaugh, Asilametta and RK Beach would sell 425 tickets of Rs 600 and 150 tickets of Rs 300.
From Friday (February 12), the sale of tickets of other denominations would commence and the sale of these 12,000 tickers is apart from the sale of the tickets being done online and at ACA-VDCA stadium by the Andhra Cricket Association, the official added.
While Sri Lanka trounced India in the first T20 match at Pune yesterday, the second match of the three match bilateral series will be played on February 12 at Ranchi.
