New Delhi: South African batsman Temba Bavuma on Tuesday slammed his maiden Test hundred against England on the 4th day of the 2nd Test at Newlands.
The 25-year-old used mere 141 balls to reach the three-figure mark, laced with 16 boundaries.
The right-hander reached his hundred with the help of a thick edge, which flew wide of the slips off speedster Steven Finn.
His father was also presented in the stadium when Bavuma reached the landmark and looked a bit emotional.
Former cricketers Sanjay Manjrekar and Michael Vaughan congratulated the cricketer to achieve the feat.
Very happy for Temba Bavuma, a classical test batsman in 2016. Not a common sight these days.
