New Delhi: Ahead of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, India skipper Ishan Kishan on Tuesday said he received valuable advice from the senior team's limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni on how to react in pressure situations.
"I met Dhoni during the Vijay Hazare Trophy and he helped me with valuable tips on what to do during pressure situations. I think his tips will help me in the process when I captain in the World Cup," Kishan was quoted as saying by IANS.
The wicketkeeper-batsman Kishan, who is also from Jharkhand, got a chance to play alongside Dhoni in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy.
It seems that Kishan also got some useful tips from legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid, who is currently coaching the U-19 team as the youngster stated: "Dravid sir is a legend in the game. I didn't take much time in adjusting with him. The advice I got from him, I will try to execute them when I captain in the World Cup."
The U-19 World Cup is to kick-start from January 27 in Bangladesh.
India will take on Ireland in their opening game to be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on January 28.
India have won the prestigious trophy on three occasions in the past - 2000, 2008, 2012.
