However, on Wednesday, the board president, who was in Shillong (Meghalaya), took some time out from his busy schedule to play cricket with visually impaired cricketers.

In a video released by ANI, Thakur can be seen playing a shot, with his eyes blindfolded.

Aimed at promoting cricket in North Eastern states, Thakur also announced development of cricketing infrastructure in the region besides the possibility of the Board doubling its annual grants to affiliate and associate member states.

Along Shillong, Thakur also visited Nagaland capital Dimapur.
