New Delhi: Cricket continues to be a dangerous sport, specially for those who are not adept at handling the missile-like cherry which travels fast, really fast. There were unfortunate events, and in fact, umpire Bruce Oxenford was forced to come up with a shield for protection, against such traveling balls.
On Saturday, an unlucky security guard who was stationed just in front of the stands at Warner Park in St Kitts found herself at the receiving end of such an blow during the fourth match of 2016 Caribbean Premier League.

Hosts St Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the toss and asked Jamaica Tallawahs to bat first. West Indies all-rounder, known for his hitting prowess, whacked the third ball of 18th over over long-on, and it hit the guard. He went on to scored 34 runs off 20 balls with 2 boundaries and 3 sixes as Tallawahs beat Patriots by 5 runs.
